Homage

Artist 1: Hajin Bae
Hajin Bae is an illustrator from Korea who collaborates with Bryant Eslava, a photographer from California.  She uses digital techniques to create colorful illustrations of Eslavas portraits.  I love her use of color and simple lines, but the portraits still seem to be full of life and extremely detailed.

Artist 2: Aki Miyajima
Aki Miyajima is an illustrator living in Japan who uses pen and ink washed with watercolor creating a very feminine style.  Im interesting in trying out her style with the detailed portraits are and the juxtaposition of the basic shapes created with the watercolor.

Artist 3: Andy Curlowe
This american artist builds most of his work around the concept of the juxtaposition of nature and industry.  I love his mix of medias and details.  I would like to pay homage to his multimedia pieces with the geometric prints within them. I also like how he mixes in color but leaves most of the work very neutral.
